Drag Portraits is a series of mixed-media caricature illustrations celebrating drag queens, visual and performance artists, and other community members who shaped the drag scene in and around central Pennsylvania and Penn State University in 2019. Created as an act of recognition and appreciation, the portraits reflect the creativity, resilience, and individuality of the people who made that space vibrant and alive. The series also includes illustrations of influential drag artists beyond the State College community whose work and visibility resonated deeply at the time. Together, these portraits honor drag as both personal expression and collective culture, capturing the joy, energy, and connection that defined the moment.
